ENJOY THOSE FRENCH FRIES!

He calls and asks, "What do you want from Wendy's?"

I answer, "ohh... um... just get me a dollar burger."

He comes home with a #1....

It's frustrating... I don't eat alot and he knows that. A burger will literally fill my stomach to the point of uncomforability.(there is no better diet than poverty!) So now I am faced with a GIGANTIC burger, LARGE fries, and a tanker sized soda.

I know the easy way is to eat what you can and the hell with the rest... But the reality is, PEOPLE ARE STARVING TO DEATH every minute... further more... It kills me to throw out the fries cause lets face it.... In our lifetime there will come a day when the luxury of fries is something we will only reminice about.

Point being, my 'consumer driven' parter will never give himself the opportunity to think about and understand the 'BIGGER PICTURE'.

Dispite all my annoying lip-service he still can't understand why I feel the way I do about reality.

I was going to ask if any of you have similar stories about your spouces... but I realized that the only person that even reads my blogs anyway is TARA. So now I'm wondering why I even have a blog... Should probably just screw my blog and just correspond through email with Tara.

Wow, what a silly rant.

  1. I have a lot of similar stories..not so much "consumer driven.." but of the spouse bringing home nothing that resembles what I wanted...or even better..getting me gifts for birthdays or Christmas that he wants...like poli-sci books or outdoor gear. It's kind of exasperating...but that's part of making a relationship work. The good thing here is that 1) he thought of you to call and see if you wanted something. 2) He brought you MORE than you wanted. We need to get over our innate cynicism, I guess. Please don't screw your blog...it brings me such happiness to find a new post...although I would also love to get emails from you. Is it safe to send this book to your house address, I am sitting here looking at it...still...I hope you know how much I love and adore you, Brad!!!!!!
